I visit Torrent Freak, love it's design, it's openness in news. Quite rare. As much as I care about copywrong and intellectual poverty for my brothers I care more about transparent government, interactive and Hamptonless polls.
In this article I'm going to explain why the citizens need daily voting because our needs aren't met by "leaders" so it's up to us to help each other. Don't worry, the Canadian Citizen's bankroll is unlimited, just ask any MP! :P

It's up to us to make sure the tax money is spent properly, another reason to ask for Daily Voting from your Party MP on your next election!

So when I go to Torrent Freak News, I read like others, but I'm assured that the news content is not biased.....if some media guy wants to come into the lion's den of users and declare how fair they are running things and how using the control over Senators and policy makers to enforce their made up rules, hey, all the power to them. Of course TF and it's group will flame them, some will respond back nicely....but all comments welcome....and that's why they rock. Not because they fight for P2P rights and fair use (downloading w/o profiting = fair use imo, as well as the majority of the public).

The media industry, like many, have an awesome but deadly way of building a consensus, pretending that if they scream loud enough, that somehow they must be right, rewriting laws against the public good and such.

This article is for a hero news site. I read on there that even TALKING about P2P, recommending it, and encouraging it's use might be against the law (and they may wish to push against TF News, forcing them to close down???)

Well, this just won't stand! They never publish torrents, they only talk about the industry and know what they talk about.....which is why they are perceived as a threat. Perhaps even more so then regular torrent websites like The Pirate Bay or ISO Hunt. You can shut down a website but they feel they must push against the 75%+ majority populace in their efforts to stop this virus of fair use and level education completely.

I also heard Limewire got like 77 Trillion dollar fine on their website. The kind of news that "somehow" is not shown on Corporate CBC Entertainment "News", premods all comments to be uniform, 5 guys own all media in America, including CNN, enjoy yer unbiased news here! or any mainstream news. Better to fight them w/o the support of the people behind them, easier win.

I loved Limewire. What a great Napster 2.0. 3.0 has GOT to be the torrent websites though. Now instead of shutting down a Napster, you gotta go after thousands of websites for the focal point.

Lets not stray from why I post here for some news though. From today on I'll try to push out some news I find of interest, adding to the site each day. Comments will never be closed off (cbc, you suck), and anons are allowed to post (but w/o signup, premodded comments to stop spam, I promise to not use it against people who disagree /w me tho, for whatever MY word is worth)

So to honour Torrent Freak, and in case they drop from the Internet, OSG News will be here for you. Cept instead of P2P, copywrong, and such like TF goes after for news, I wanna go for the throat, Daily Voting to control/curb/short leash our Ministers of Parliament/Senators.....as much as I want Canada to have a good, respectable government, I want it for America even more as their laws are world rule...imo.

So The above pics here show TF saying everyone thinks piracy is alright, that most good people go and buy it anyways, even with DRM on the official versions and no limits on the better then original copies. Long live AXXO! lol (you either know him or you don't)

If everyone thinks it's alright, why do we have such laws fucking everything up? (yes, swearing is alright here, take yer censorship to some other website, just keep it tasteful here please) I believe it's screwed up because our government people bottlenecks are being bought by industry "leaders"/exploiters while the 330 million American masses have little to no say, industry leader would lose their jobs if they spoke out vs their industry publicly online.

I was surfing around today, checking news and my cities on Grepolis while booting up. I found Open Media doing a UBB (Usage Based Billing) protest meeting /w some CRTC people....seems 500,000 people all downvoting UBB together has caught attention and if they didn't give a seat beside them, they'd be "unfair" so they earned their way to Ottawa and have a Twitter about it here:

So I see tons of BS red tape in the way of our true democracy. It shall be cut, /w machetes! I applaud the Open Media guys for their amazing work pushing for the stop of UBB (cell phone style bill all you can) models onto Internet lines. I'd rather it go unlimited cell time for 40/month like Fido had before Rogers bought them.

I'm sure others would upvote such a move to save the nation monthly bills. Rogers is still welcome to make profits but lets compare Canada's cell phone plans vs every other 1st world nation, hell, the 3rd world nations got better rates then us, btw.

So OSG's goals (pushed by FreeSCV & others) will be different from Torrent Freak or Open Media's.....
As I hunt for a wild and crazy Napster programmer to help build the daily voting machine for Canada and USA citizens...and guests, I'd certainly count immigrant needs on a vote, just separately to not ruin voting numbers. Before you rule out electronic voting, remember that we now got Linux /w society's interests at heart!

The Internet is still new, we got plenty of distractions and entertainment passed off as News (watch the movie "Network", 1976 it was made to catch my reference here, IMDB/TPB it). We still don't have an electronic Senate broadcasting the decisions of our leaders in briefings everyone can read w/o all the legalese and extra bills snuck in. I say each law should caryr it's own weight or be carried by a Senator, but never snuck in on the good reputation of another successful law, and never after killing 2000 of yer own people to steal a foreign nation's oil do you rush in antipatriot laws to ruin everyone's freedoms.

I don't see an awesome network to help those in need, using Roger's 5 dollar per text donations I hear were after the billing period, it's a decent make shift way to funnel funds to those in need, 100% going to Red Cross, admirable goals here. Problem is I don't see a master list online to donate money into. The lack of organization for worthy goals and citizen interaction is scary....

...but not scary enough to stop writing here, to stop leading 220+ OSG members on Epsilon Grepolis, to start 15 + 3 additional worlds and get my but handed to me b/c it's more then I can handle (already conquered a few times in many lands, least they know of OSG tho, and I keep my battle points, the real Grepolis gold, imo). Daily Voting from my cold dead hands! As you'd value a gun during times of uncertainty, or God/you faith/faith in humanity, I'd value Daily Voting and trusting my fellow citizens in the swarm of our species to develop this and prosper from it.

While no one is really wrong for spending the free money we call taxes, there is certainly a better and not so better way of "investing" it. Because the Federal Elections were closed source (secret on how it's done, for security), the Diebold Voting machines were easily defeated so you could downvote the other guy's official votes and Bush wins. :P

Online, you "could" hack the thing, prob even from someone who's yer rival/enemy and blame them for it.....but it'd be caught faster by Open Source/Linux style code, esp when online for the world to catch the play, instead of the Network's shown version of the outcome, reruns possibly edited for the media network's view of things.

....but I trust my fellow man, my fellow field slave also busting ass and grinding out a living when our current state should be a bit more civil.


Let's get into some real practical shit shall we? My real name is Trevor, I'm a former garbage man, Surrey BC Canada. 4 years strong I've thrown cans, boxes, and these new employee killing wheeled bins that eventually a driver only robot arm will lift. Less garbage/volume in each can compared to 2 regular cans.

100-100 it's got regular cans beat, but if yer only allowed 1 can, this wheeled one, can being heavier then the garbage itself, well, you'll get 150 volume, the 2 regular cans will get 200 volume.

So I work my damndest, forced overtime (/w pay but can't refuse or fired, saw it happen, refused work after 7pm from a 7am day and lost my job for it, against Canada's legal worker code, like they give a shit tho, cheap labour is an awesome thing, from a blind eye's city view saving tax money)

As the Union was being starved out for "contracts/routes" the new contractors replacing the union work took up al the old people's jobs, pink slips for layoffs from all company workers at IPI/EmTerra, some had minimal benefits. Now they all get hired by private subcontractors, no benefits, oh, wait, after 6 months you can have them, haha, just kidding, it's been 6 months and if you don't like it, hit the fucking road peon worker!

So instead of a career in garbage, you are looking at permanent part time work, even /w full time or 60 hours/week and paid for 40. I've had a cool 500 stolen from me from the company (they said I got paid from a contractor when I didn't, you can continue working for them or quit, but they don't give back stolen money), I've done good work and been told to help other trucks out (daily). It's alright if yer paid by the hour, overtime eventually clicks in and you make out alright....but /w these new subcontractors paying by the day (non negotiable, 120/day or fuck off).....well if yer done early, yer working for free for another truck's route.

Who do I go to for such problems in my workforce? Would the city even care about 1 worker vs the rep of a big huge company (that Mega Crane blocks a crane truck in front of our yard's exit to ensure back rent paid to them from IPI for 30,000 bucks....the only way a huge company was getting paid was to muscle em what's already owed from this Chinese owned company). How do you downvote any company from getting another contract and being in the way of good quality work for hard working, yet unskilled workers???

My latest round of garbage (you'll get good work then be cut loose once/year or so, so yer never eligible for benefits) I went for the 6 months, Dan, my former boss TOTALLY promises everyone benefits to get a good crew together, even stole me from another contractor, Jerold /w promises. I give my all and am let down, again. You see, w/o a proper dental plan for so long, dental costs are expensive. IPI doesn't want to pay for me or anyone else....treated like a claim at a car insurance place. While I don't blame the profit driven IPI, I DO blame our government's "leadershit" for allowing such problems...

1. Health care, dental, optical, imo, would be upvoted to where it's covered 100% by Government, then it'd include those not working, working part time, or simply working 4 years, STILL w/o dental coverage. Cuba doesn't have such problems. One of many small nations we could learn a lot from.
2. Government also at fault for allowing citizens to pay 20-25/worker per hour for 2 workers, 1 driver 25-30/hour they ask of the residents....then under some awesome accounting magic, the money is stolen down to 8-12/hour for workers, 15-18/hour for drivers, all w/o any benefits (while citizens are paying for benefits also, included as expenses). Now this is fucked up. How are you not included by the theft and exploitation of workers? Magic they call turning a blind eye to contractors under the city's employ and their worker's problems & needs.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a hard worker (if 5 minutes late getting started, lol). The city actually sets up a contractor BECAUSE they know that the workers working for nothing aren't to be covered by city benefits and such. I'd also upvote the city directly taking control over their own garbage problem/responsibility instead of passing the buck to a known employee abuser.

So I can't solve this huge industry problem where I was. Instead of the blame game, I'm pushing for a federal upvote/downvote system. I could have gone back to a different contractor, still might (work is work, can't be too proud if one contractor dumps on ya, it's just "how it is", I'd be happy to work on regular cans again as this Dan guy was pushing for the robot arm would eventually wiipie out Surrey's unskilled work. I hate those cans, just crap to work with all day. Can't do as many homes so the IPI's solution? Service every 2nd week for your garbage! No, taxes don't get cut by 50% to match, that's alllll profit. ;)

I'm against the taxes and will of the people being abused to such an extent. I figured an easier job and writing for OSG here was a better plan than continual under appreciated garbage work, the citizens love ya but are horrified to hear 10/hour for "such hard work" of 25,000-50,000lbs/day.

I guess all you can do is be one of those crazy guys during the next election demanding "Daily Voting", "Open Source Party", and Transparent tax Info of where everyone's taxes are going.....

Yes, you can count on my support for such signs and hanging out during the elections. I figure Open Source Party > Liberals, Conservatives, NDP, Pirate Party, even the Green Party.....

So live for the swarm people! I'd love to hear anyone's story of another industry that's screwed up b/c of owners blinded by personal gains and not sharing enough /w their slaves. I know there are MANY problems to fix in our society, it's why Daily Voting is my most important goal to push, I trust the swarm, Open Source code for technical solutions to political problems.....if we build it, they will vote! >=)
